EQUINET is a mobile app designed by Mustad Hoofcare Group to make every day business management easier for farriers. It minimizes the effort it takes to organize farrier business by consolidating all the administration tasks in one place. It provides features like invoicing, scheduling appointments, creating digital shopping lists, documenting services provided by farriers and more.

To download EQUINET, go to the Apple Store or Google Play, search for "EQUINET - Mustad Farrier App," and then click "Install".

*Please note that EQUINET App is currently only available in United States, Australia and New Zealand.

After downloading the app, launch it from your home screen and select one of the supported countries and languages*. Next, click the "I'm New" button and accept the terms and conditions. You will then be asked to sign up by providing a few basic details and setting up a password for your account.

You will be given a quick, informative guide on the various functions of the app. You can also choose to answer a few questions to tailor the app according to your needs.

To optimize your experience with EQUINET's invoicing features, it's advisable to set up your farrier services or procedures before initiating the invoicing function. Additionally, if you plan to use an external accounting provider, connecting with them early on will facilitate a smoother integration and expedite your business operations within the app.(Read Adding your Farrier Services or Procedures and Connecting with Third-party Accounting Providers below).

Once you have created your profile on EQUINET App, it is time to enter some contacts (like horse owners, vets, dealers, etc) you frequently work with. The easiest way to do this is by importing contacts directly from your device's phone book:

1. Go to your dashboard
2. You will see a note to click on "Import contacts" at the top of your dashboard. If you are an existing user, you can find the option to import contacts in a "New Contact" page
3. Click on "Select all" to import all contacts or manually select the contacts you want to include
4. Click on "Import contacts"

You can also create contacts manually by clicking on the '+' button from the dashboard and selecting 'Contact'. You will need to fill in some basic details of the contact like their mobile number, address and photo.

After you have added some of your contacts on EQUINET, it is important to link them with relevant horse profiles.

To add horses to a contact, click the + button from the dashboard and select 'Horse'. You will need to fill in some basic details of the Horse and select the relevant contact from your list.

EQUINET provides an opportunity to manage all your finances efficiently within the app. However, if you would wish to use an external provider, it is important to connect your EQUINET account with one of the third-party accounting providers to start sending invoices for your services instantly. We currently provide the option to connect with Xero or QuickBooks.

1. Go to the menu
2. Click on "Settings"
3. Select "Invoicing and Administration"
4. Click on "Connect to provider"
5. Select one of the two administration providers: Xero or Quickbooks. If you already have an account with Xero or Quickbooks, you simply log in using your email address and password and your account will be connected to EQUINET. If you do not have an account with Xero or Quickbooks, then you will be directed to set up an account when you click on 'Connect'

To get started on EQUINET, it is crucial to enter a few farrier services or procedures (like shoeing or trimming) that you provide in real life to be able to add them to horse entries or invoices. To setup your Farrier services or procedures, follow the steps below:

1. Go to the menu
2. Click on "Settings"
3. Click on "Invoicing and Administrations"
4. Click on "Configure Procedures"
5. Click on "+ Add Procedure"
6. Fill in the service category, name, description and assign a price. Please also ensure that the 'Available' toggle button is set to green to make sure it will be visible under your procedures.
7. Click "Done" to save all the information.

Please note: If you use XERO, you can enter the cost of each service or procedure with or without tax. Simply ensure that you follow the same in invoices (for instance, if you entered the cost of the service/procedure with tax in the procedure settings, make sure to select "Tax Included" in the invoice). If you use Quickbooks, you can only enter costs that do not include taxes.

Inventory is a section where you can keep a digital record of the products you have in stock in real life. We recommend that you set this up as soon as possible. Follow the steps below to setup your digital inventory:

1. Go to the menu
2. Click on "Inventory"
3. Click on "+ Add new product"
4. Select a product category (shoes, nails, rasps or custom product)
5. Choose the brand of the product from the list of the most popular products available in Australia (including non-Mustad brands). (Tip: If the product you wish to add does not exist in the list, you can manually add products by entering the product name and assigning a quantity through the "Custom" product option)
6. Choose the type, size, and quantity
7. Click on 'Add product'.

After adding the products, you will be able to view the lists of products in your inventory under "Shoes", "Nails", "Rasps", "Shoes" or "Custom products." You can manually edit the quantities of the products from the inventory overview.

Please keep in mind that the number of shoes should be entered per shoe (i.e. pair = 2 or set = 4) and that the number of nails should be total nails in a box (for instance, 250).
